I don't mind if you've got something nice to say about me
And I enjoy an accolade like the rest
And you can take my picture and hang it in a gallery
Of all the "who's who's" and so-and-so's
That used to be the best at such and such
It wouldn't matter much
I won't lie, it feels alright to see your name in lights
We all need an "atta boy" or "atta girl"
But in the end I'd like to hang my hat on more besides
The temporary trappings of this world
I want to leave a legacy
How will they remember me?
Did I choose to love?
Did I point to You enough
To make a mark on things
I want to leave an offering
A child of mercy and grace
Who blessed Your name unapologetically
And leave that kind of legacy
I don't have to look too far or too long awhile
To make a lengthy list of all that I enjoy
It's an accumulating trinket and a treasure pile
Where moth and rust, thieves and such will soon enough destroy
I want to leave a legacy
How will they remember me?
Did I choose to love?
Did I point to You enough
To make a mark on things
I want to leave an offering
A child of mercy and grace
Who blessed Your name unapologetically
And leave that kind of legacy
Not well-traveled, not well-read
Not well-to-do, or well-bred
I just want to hear instead
Well done, good and faithful one
I want to leave a legacy
How will they remember me?
Did I choose to love?
Did I point to You enough
To make a mark on things?
I want to leave an offering
A child of mercy and grace
Who blessed Your name unapologetically
And leave that kind of legacy
I don't mind if you've got something nice to say about me

MUW Homecoming!
I traveled to Columbus this morning for MUW Homecoming! I can hardly believe that it has been 5 years since I graduated from the dub, and it is always so great to go back to visit.
Then I was off to Homecoming... Lockheart Homecoming to be specific! FYI: Lockheart is the my four year social club (similar to sororities but not national). To my surprise Deanna and I were the only members from the Class of 2004 that attended! WHAT? You ladies better have some really good excuses!

The Ranger Did What?
You may know that Wayne is very proud of his Polaris Ranger. In fact, the Ranger is so important to him that he leaves it in our garage instead of parking his truck there. And he is always comparing what his Ranger can do to what his friends ATVs can do - it's very similar to the my dad is better than your dad scenario from elementary school. Well, the Ranger finally had a true test. When I tried to start my car this morning there was no sign of life. Of course, Wayne was last to drive it! But I really blamed myself bc I thought the loss of life was the result of my procrastination to get the battery in my key changed - I have a push start button so there is no real key! After mass confusion about the key issue, Wayne decided that my battery was dead and the Ranger could save the day. Well, I was not a fan of the idea at first, but I warmed up to the idea when I realized there was not another option. So, Wayne fixed up the cords and I turned on the Ranger. And in mintues my car was running! GO Ranger, you had the power to jump off my Infiniti! I knew we had that thing for some reason!
