L is for Love!

These are the proud new parents, Magnum and Neeli! They are in LOVE!!! Are they the cutest couple you have ever seen? I actually took this photo during their dating days, before they were married and decided to have children! I think Neeli will be happy to be reminded of her thinner days.
The puppies are doing great! This morning I took them to Dr. Kennedy to have their dew (sp?) claws removed. They are all eating like champs - poor Neeli! And they are growing like weeds! I am ready for the next two weeks to hurry by so their eyes and ears will be open!

K is for Kiddo's!!!

We officially have kiddo's in the family! Neeli began delivering her puppies today at 2pm. The first was a black male. Another black male came at 2:45pm. The third, a yellow male, arrived at 3pm. And another yellow male at 3:40pm. Then another black male at 3:55pm. Finally, our one and only girl, who is black, came at 4:30pm. And last came a yellow male at 4:50pm. All of the puppies are beautiful and already making tons of noise! We are proud grandparents! Neeli has already lost a good deal of weight and is currently feeding the puppies! She is such a good mommy!
Unfortunately, I missed the entire birthing process bc I was judging the Tomato Queen Pageant in Crystal Springs. However, I knew this morning that she was going to have puppies today so Wayne's mom and sister came over to puppysit! This is the photo of me and one of the black boys - they are so tiny!

John is a happy grandpa too - his dog Magnum is Neeli's husband! This is John and the first born, Maverick, who was named after John's black lab who passed away in a traggic accident on this day four years ago. We have also named the girl Delta bc she will make her home there.

I HATE SNAKES!!!

Yes! I know there are good and bad ones, but I am so afraid of snakes! I had a hard time even looking at the pics on the internet bc my skin crawls!!! But Wayne loves them! On Monday Wayne and I (and his mom) decided we would walk down the (paved) road to view a lot. Yay! Wayne and I have decided that we want our next house on water with 3+ acres - this is quite hard to find in Madison! So I slide on my flip flops and here we go with both of the girls (our dogs). The lot is about 1/4 of a mile from his parents house on a long cul-de-sac (another requirement). It is perfect! So Wayne (my engineer husband) goes walking through the lot (which is covered in trees and tall grass) to guess-timate how much fill dirt we would need. Of course, I could not stand it so I made him walk along the edge of the property (on the neighbors manicured lawn) so I could see the view of the lake. Then, he convinced me to take a short cut through the middle of the lot to get back to the road. So Wayne, the dogs, and I go trotting through and Wayne pushes out his hand (like he is trying to stop me from going through the windshield of a car). Under my foot is a fat, six foot long chicken snake!!! Of course, all I knew is that it was fat and long so I sprinted to the road screaming bloody murder like a girl! Nova, who thought it is was a fun toy, tried to play with it so Wayne picked it up so it would not bite her. And Neeli, well, she did not smell a thing (we will blame it on the pregnancy). Believe it or not we lived through the experience - and we still love the lot!!!

J is for JOKE!

Well, I had my Garage Sale this morning, but it was a JOKE! Now all I want to do is pout (and take a nap)! After researching the most effective ways to have a garage sale, I followed all of the rules... I held the garage sale on the first Saturday of the month; I advertised in a local newspaper; I put out cute, readable signs 24 hours in advance; and I organized and cleaned for two days straight!!! I even took off a half day from work to make sure it was perfect! Well, I had SEVEN people show up and sold $44 worth of crap! UGH! We do live kinda far out, but seven people is pitful! I had tons of furniture, home decor, and unused plates/pots/pans that no one even looked at! Needless to say, I will NEVER have another Garage Sale again!

I is for Indiana Jones...

Tonight was Garver Night... The company Wayne works for hosted dinner and a movie. We had so much fun! First, we ate dinner at Oby's. Of course, Wayne and I both had shrimp poboys. Then, we headed to the movies to see Indiana Jones! I have never actually seen an Indiana Jones movie from beginning to end, but I think Harrison Ford is hot! Needless to say, I was excited! And I was pleasantly surprised by the movie - it was great! It was so great to catch up with everyone. Thanks Garver! :)

My Beautiful Girls!

Are these the cutest little girls you have ever seen? They make me smile! A bit of an update... Neeli is growing quickly so I am guessing the puppies will be healthy. I spoke with Dr. Kennedy today, and we will be switching her to Puppy Science Diet. She is going to be such a good mom. She is so smart and loyal. She will do anything you say the first time you ask - a typical first born! Nova is a little spit fire -she is not afraid of anything! I can hardly take her into the front yard bc she will greet all of the neighbors who walk by. I have tried to explain to her that she should not talk to strangers - no luck! And she still has her excited Cocker Spaniel pee. I personally think it is adorable, but I have not gotten my toes wet yet! She now weighs 14lbs, but she won't get much bigger. What can I say, we love our girls! :)

H is for Haircut!

Nova got a haircut today, and she is so cute! Wayne says she looks like a lion! I guess the fact that she looks like a lion is my fault! I specifically requested that the groomer only trim her fro and ears even though I wanted the rest of her hair shaved. After her last haircut she looked like a poodle, and I did not want that to happen again. So far I think she likes her new do! But I think she will really appreciate it when we go for a walk or fishing on a hot day! :) Do you really think she looks like a lion?
