John Polles, Amanda, Wayne and I traveled to Cleveland this weekend to visit Melanie and Chris (and our new friends Bevin and Charles - love them)! John Polles and Wayne love the Delta so much that I can hardly believe that they ever moved away, but Chris living there gives them a really good excuse to visit often! Of course, we started the weekend off with dinner at Crawdad's. And as you can see in the photo, Wayne had lots to drink (he is not smoking, he just likes to have a smoke in his mouth?) but he still was under the legal limit (another story). And then, we danced the night away in the Reed's living room! After a trip to McCarty, we spent Saturday on the lake in the party barge with Stinky Gringo! Fun times...

American Idol
Although I could never remember to set my DVR to record American Idol this season, I have been keeping up with the show via youtube! I especially liked Danny (saw him in the beginning and admired his story) and Kris - I love that they are using their talent to glorify God! Well, Kris Allen is already setting a new standard, check out his rendition of God of this City! He rocks!

Banana Pudding
I always love a good girls trip! As we get older, I think our time together grows more fun and exciting - even though we do not have the energy we once had! Melissa (pictured far right) and I traveled to Memphis this weekend to stay with Leigha (pictured far left) for our quarterly girls weekend. Of course, we stayed up too late catching up! Some exciting news from MelBel - she got a hybrid car & SHE IS PREGGERS! Some exciting news from Leighabug - she only has one week of school left & she has the most beautiful outside kitchen in Desoto County! We shopped, ate too much and had a great time just being girls! I love yall!

Redneck Weekend!
We traveled to Wayne's family cabin in Water Valley for a weekend full of bream fishing and frog gigging. Good thing I love the outdoors! :) Sara and Lee joined us for the adventure and Mitch (my father-in-law) was our tour guide - for the fishing part. Of course, a redneck weekend never goes as planned, but some highlights included fishing with horses (horses like to snack on crickets), spotting several deer bedded together (I think we woke them up), and finding some baby coyotes (I have to remind myself they are not so cute when they grow up). Although we never gigged a frog, we caught 84 bream in 3 hours so I would call the adventure a success!
