Saving the Tundra!

Wayne has discovered a new hobby - goose hunting! Apparently the population of geese is so great that they are killing the Tundra, so I guess Wayne is doing his part to make the world a better place. Of course, I am not really sure of all of the logistics of this new sport, but I do know that they kill a lot and pick up lots of bands (this is jewelry on a birds leg-its like gold to a hunter)! Today Wayne introduced Josh, Dustin, and Clint to the sport. They traveled to the Delta early this morning and began scouting the big white birds. When they found a group they would ask the farmer permission to hunt and off they would go! They had way too much fun! Wayne and Josh both picked up a band. I think we will have goose sausage for years to come!

Happy Late Birthday Nova!

Nova turned two months old on February 20th! We celebrated with her first trip to Petsmart. It was a bit too much for a two month old. We started with her in the front of the cart - where you would put a child - but the smells where killing her. So, I tried to hold her. She did not want to be held - she wanted to play with all of the other dogs. Finally, I put her in the cart. I would never believe this if I did not see it myself, but SHE JUMPED OUT! She landed on her side and cryed out, but she was fine after that. Needless to say, we got what we needed and left. But we did not leave without a cute pink collar! Right now it is more of a necklace, but she will grow into it!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today was Nova's first full day with us! We are having way too much fun. After lots of playing with Neeli, Nova could not resist napping on her dad's MSU blanket. We are such proud parents. Oh yeah, it is also Valentine's Day! In fact, it is our first (as a married couple)! We could not be away from Nova so Wayne decided he would cook. He coooked a wonderful new duck recipe. Just call him Chef Wayne-O!!!

Our Black Super Nova

Today we brought home our new baby girl, Nova. After months of begging Wayne for lap dog and surfing the Internet to find the perfect companion for Neeli, I found a local cocker spaniel breeder that had black puppies (that is another story). The only problem was NO GIRLS! I obsessed about it for a bit and decided to call. Of course, there was one little princess! The breeder planned to show her (her parents are Champions) so she did not post photos of her on the website. I am so glad they changed their minds!
